8 Weeks
How far along? 8 Weeks
How big is the baby? Size of a grape/green olive
Total weight gain: 3-4 pounds depending on the day and depending on if I drank enough water that day.
Maternity clothes? I DID wear maternity leggings the other day. SO comfortable! Might be investing in a belly band soon though. My pants are WAY too tight.
Stretch marks? No new ones ;)
Sleep: Exhausted most of the time, but able to sleep through the night most nights
Best moment this week: No moments stand out to me
Miss Anything? I miss not being able to workout hard and I miss having the energy to do things!
Movement: The little nugget isn't moving yet. Just my rumbly tummy!
Food cravings: Breakfast foods are still my number one best friend. Most specifically eggs. Boneless buffalo wings from Chilis also made their debut.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Brisket still, yuck. And honestly, most red meat is not getting along with me right now.
Labor Signs: Luckily no! This baby has a lot longer to cook!
Symptoms: Having to pee all day long, super emotional, cravings, bloated, tenderness, lil bit of acne (sad day for me), some morning sickness, and exhaustion. Nothing I can't handle! Symptoms mean it's a good pregnancy, right? :)
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Depends on the day. Some days I am moody, some days I am happy. Depends on what commercials come on TV.
Looking forward to: My first sonogram! I cannot wait to hear that baby's heartbeat. I am also looking forward to hitting that safety zone and be able to tell all our friends and family!
7 Weeks

| Despite his face, he is actually very excited about being a big cousin |
How far along? 7 Weeks
Total weight gain: 3 pounds so far total, but I assume that is mainly due to bloating seeing as how my baby is the size of a raspberry
Maternity clothes? Not in maternity clothes yet, but wondering if I should invest in a belly band. This bloating is making a belt and pants that clasp SUPER uncomfortable!
Stretch marks? No new ones ;)
Sleep: Exhausted most of the time, but able to sleep through the night most nights
Best moment this week: Learning that our baby has grown to be the size of a raspberry and is growing his/her little fingers and toes!
Miss Anything? Still missing not being able to get my HR over 160! Also, I miss not looking like a swollen blueberry
Movement: The little nugget isn't moving yet. Just my rumbly tummy!
Food cravings: Breakfast foods are still my number one best friend. Most specifically eggs. I am also really enjoying Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuits! They soothe my stomach.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Brisket. BLEH!

Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Can I be happy AND moody? I would say this week I am a little more moody than previous weeks, but that's just because I am stressed and have a lot on my plate. No big deal!
Looking forward to: My first sonogram! I cannot wait to hear that baby's heartbeat. I am also looking forward to hitting that safety zone and be able to tell all our friends and family!
5 Weeks 5 Days
I am just head over heels excited to be pregnant. I have waited a long time for this, and it's finally happening and everything is falling into place. I start a new job Monday which makes me anxious, but excited to be able to provide for my growing family! It's still too early to make it public, I guess I'm superstitious in that way, but I want to document this journey so I have started my blog up once again! The blog used to be about wedding, then recipes/working out, and now it will be about my family. My exciting, growing family of three (maybe more, we won't know that for quite awhile!)
By the time I actually post this blog, I'll be further along, but I am sure some people will want to read through old posts and look at them. So many people have adorable pregnancy/maternity blogs and such cute photo shoots. So I am going to attempt to document everything as well, but there are just so many different forums to do it on, it will be very hard. I will, however, thank Pinterest for giving me LOTS of motivation for this!
How far along? 5 Weeks 5 daysTotal weight gain: 3 pounds so far, but I assume that is mainly due to bloating seeing as how my baby is the size of a sweet pea Maternity clothes? Not in maternity clothes yet. Wore a pair of maternity leggings though just because they were the only leggings I had, and they felt AMAZING! So much freedom :)Stretch marks? No new ones ;)Sleep: Exhausted all the time, yet can't get a solid night's sleep a single night. Best moment this week: Best moment so far would just be going everyday knowing we're pregnant and getting closer to when we can tell everyone and are in the "safety" zone!Miss Anything? I miss being able to get my HR over 160! Movement: The only thing moving is my belly and rumbly tummy!Food cravings: For being not far along at all, I am getting some intense cravings! Breakfast foods (eggs specifically) and shrimp tacos are two things I cannot seem to get enough of! Subway flatbread turkey is also something I keep wanting. My ideal day would be eggs for breakfast, Subway turkey flatbread for lunch and shrimp tacos for dinner! YUMMM!Anything making you queasy or sick: Feeling a tad sick by some strong food smells in places like cafeterias. Also got a bout of nausea from grilled veggies (weird) and when our kitchen filled with smoke. Little baby bridge did NOT like the kitchen on fire!Labor Signs: Luckily no! This baby has a lot longer to cook! Symptoms: Having to pee all day long, super emotional, cravings, bloated, tenderness, and exhaustion. Wedding rings on or off? OnHappy or Moody most of the time: I would say mostly happy, but I do randomly get tear-y eyed at the most random things. Stressed and nervous though. Being pregnant and starting a new job makes for a stressful mama!Looking forward to: Pretty much the whole experience. I cannot wait for our first sonogram. I am so excited to start showing! We are so early on in the pregnancy that really I look forward to everything and it's hard to narrow it down to just a few things.

Reintroducing - DIET
Well, I've been slacking. I haven't been working out much and I have not been that good with my diet. Needless to say, I feel like a giant cow. So I have decided, enough is enough. I am going to get back on the workout wagon and try to start eating better again. Now, I do not expect to go from 0-60 right away. I am going to be realistic otherwise I'll get sad at myself for failing to reach my goal and I'll devour a whole gallon of ice cream. Which would then, in turn, make me even sadder for REALLY failing my diet.
So, knowing me and knowing how much I love junk food, I am letting myself cheat. Not daily, not all the time. But I know I need to give myself SOME lee-way when it comes to a diet. Otherwise its bad news bears. The diet I am going to attempt to follow 90% of the time (or every day but Sundays, I am not sure yet which I think I can do) is the following:
I think I can do that. Now, in theory, if I give myself one day a week to have some of those things, I think that's a better idea. Because if I decide to let myself have a tiny cheat every so often, I think I'll just end up having junk all the time, probably one piece daily, and that won't work. So one day a week I think is more feasible and more likely to keep me on track. Now, by one day a week I do NOT mean
What I mean is more like, I AM allowed ice cream, or candy, or maybe a donut, on one particular day. It does NOT mean that all day I eat all the junk that I want. So yeah, I think that's doable. Even though all I want is chicken tenders and sweetarts, I think I can push my cravings aside and do what's best for me.
Now in regards to working out, I am going to aim for 3 days a week at CrossFit and then 2 walks a week. I know that if I set my sights on working out daily, I'll fail. And this quest is not about setting high goals that I cannot reach. It's about actually making a difference in my body again. So, my 3 days a week at CrossFit and then 2 walks on other days is TOTALLY feasible. Then, when I am up to it, I can go to CrossFit an extra day. But for now, I'll set my sights on three days a week. I think for now this is a good way to get back into everything. Especially since I have kind of been a lazy bum the past two months.

When I Workout
I love CrossFit and working out, but I am still very out of shape. I feel good at the beginning of a WOD, then towards the end, it's more like...

Why I Work Out
Ok. So you may remember my post about lemons and lemony food. Don't worry. I have not had a change of heart and cheated on my lemons. I do still love all things lemon. However, I have another obsession. S'mores. This post will do no good at being a motivator to work out other than the fact that I have gained weight just looking at these recipes. So without further adieu, the reasons I work out.
You're welcome for the diabetes.
